Imperial German World War I Prinzen Pour Le Merite Blue Max Neck Medal Bar Decoration. Measures 1 9/16 wide by 1 9/16 tall.

The front reads Pour Le Merite. This is a maltiese cross with eagles in the four corners. The upper arm has a Kings crown above with an F below. The top of the fan is maker marked JGUS for the manufacturing firm of Joseph Godet und Sohn Berlin. Has powder blue enamel on both sides.

The frame is brass construction. Includes a presentation cloth embroidered woven triangular black and white cotton ribbon. 1 15/16 wide by 1 7/16 tall. This was Germanys highest award for gallantry in combat action during World War I.

This was to have been worn on a medal bar. Items of antiquity are considered damaged goods, by such affects and thereby diminishes the value significantly.
