Medal - King George V and Queen Mary. THIS IS SILVER MEDAL ITS RARITY IS VERY HIGH. Silver Jubilee of King George V and Queen Mary. Conjoined busts of the King and Queen, left.

Legend: "VI MAII MCMX" curved around left edgs and "MCMXXXV" around the right. Against a background of two concentric bands, the coat of arms of the Union of South Africa with motto: "UNITAE EX VIRES". M at the bottom of the outer band. Outside and around on the left: "UNIE VAN SUID-AFRIKA" and on the right between stops: "UNION OF SOUTH AFRICA". UNIE VAN SUID AFRIKA UNION OF SOUTH AFRICA EX UNITATE VIRES P.

Also struck in Silver and Bronze with a lug. The medal with lug was given to school children.

The gilt medal has been privately converted into a masonic jewel. The suspension attachment has been engraved: D. For an unknown lodge of the Sons of England.
