Leading Seaman John James Tiddy. Was born in Falmouth, Cornwall in 1876.
An errand boy by trade, he enlisted into the Royal Navy on 7/6/1891. Over the next 27 years he served on a variety of H. He was serving on H. Conqueror (dreadnought) from 1912 - his discharge on 11/3/1919, even though he was transferred to the Royal Fleet Reserve in 1916, he continued to serve aboard Conqueror. The 1939 census records him residing in Falmouth as a Navy Pensioner and listed as having died in Cornwall in 1955.
