Crimea Medal 1854-56, (4) clasps, to Driver Absalom Berry, Royal Artillery. Top two clasps are fixed together with a solder repair, heavy edge bruising and contact marks obscuring regimental number, good fine or better. All clasps are confirmed, Absalom Berry was born circa 1833, he served in 1st Company, 3rd Battalion of the Royal Artillery. An Absalom Berry enlisted in The Royal Marines 15 Dec 1856 and died in service January 1873 in a trench excavation accident Jan 1873 at Portsea Island, Hampshire, believed to be the same man.
