One of the most beautiful French medals ever! Made of bronze in 1830, commemorating the Royal Family visit to the Paris Mint, engraved by the famous medallist Barre. It measures 85 mm and weights 230 grams. On the obverse is the b. Usts of King Louis Philippe I and Marie Amélie both in oval medallions surrounded by scrolls.
At the top is a winged female figure standing on lion's head, below two angels holding a crown and a shield, standing on a scroll with the legend. LA FAMILLE ROYALE VISITE LA MONNAIE LE 8 NOV. On the shield: "CHARTE DE 1830". Around the portrait of the king: "LOUIS PHILIPPE I ROI DES FRANÇAIS" and around the queen: "MARIE AMELIE REINE DES FRANÇAIS".
