I have for sale a medal for the Royal Lancashire Agricultural Society of Great Britain. Unknow date for medal, but possibly 1893.

The medal looks to be silver plated bronze, it is 1 7/8 inches in diameter and in a high grade circulated condition, see photos. The obverse design in the center has four coat of arms. Crowned shield divided into quarters with lion supporters (royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom) 2.

1847 above, a fleur-de-lis over a lion passant guardant (arms of Lancaster) 4. 1830 above, a cormorant bird standing left holding a branch of seaweed in the beak (arms of Liverpool). At the rim it reads ROYAL LANCASHIRE AGRICULTURAL - SOCIETY. In tiny letters it reads INSTITUTED 1767 - RE CONSTITUTED 1893. The reverse in the center shows the goddess Ceres standing holding a cornucopia and ears of wheat in rural landscape scene. At the rim it reads SOCIETY FOR IMPROVEMENT OF AGRICVLTVRE. Under the scene it reads INST - SALFORD - HVND - LANCASHIRE - MDCCLXVII and in tiny letters it has ELKINGTON - MANCHESTER.
