At the rim it reads ROYAL LANCASHIRE AGRICULTURAL - SOCIETY. In tiny letters it reads INSTITUTED 1767 - RE CONSTITUTED 1893. The reverse in the center shows the goddess Ceres standing holding a cornucopia and ears of wheat in rural landscape scene. At the rim it reads SOCIETY FOR IMPROVEMENT OF AGRICVLTVRE.
