I was for sale a 1913 British medal awarded by the Royal Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce. The medal is bronze, it is 2 1/8 inches in diameter and in a high grade circulated condition. The obverse shows the bust of King George V in the center. At the rim it reads GEORGE V KING & EMPEROR PATRON - MCMX.
On the reverse inside a wreath it reads ROYAL - SOCIETY - OF ARTS - MANUFACTURES - AND - COMMERCE. At the rim it reads FOUNDED 1754, INCORPORATED BY ROYAL CHARTER 1847.
On the medal rim it reads OWEN JONES COMPETITION 1913 - COLIN DAVIES, FOR A DESIGN FOR A TAPESTRY HANGING. This medal is listed in the Eimer catalog as #1917.
