A silver medal struck to commemorate the coronation of King James I of England and Ireland and James VI of Scotland in Westminster Abbey, 25 July 1603. Aureate bust of James I facing right, in armour. Mantle tied in a knot on the shoulder and falling lace collar. James I, Caesar Augustus of Britain, Caesar the heir of the Caesars, presents this medal. Ampant crowned lion, left, holding a beacon and sheaf of wheat.
