This is a pair of Imperial Service Silver Medals awarded for long service to the Post Office in Great Britain. These medals commemorate the service of my Uncle & Aunt who served in the Post Office during the 50's & 60's, making them a valuable piece of social history for collectors as it is unusual to have a pair awarded to a husband and wife.
They are individually engraved to Anthony Granville Timms and Mrs Jean Mary Timms and are in excellent condition with spare ribbons. They are both in their original presentation boxes and are a piece of social history - Tony was Postmaster General in Warwickshire and Jean worked alongside him.
