PORT ROYAL BEADS & SILVER RELIGOUS MEDALLION ON SMALL BRONZE NECKLACE RINGs. This Spanish beads & silver religious medallion on bronze rings necklace came from an old stone warehouse. That sank in Port Royal harbor.
Necklace has 4 carved wood beads held together by small bronze rings & has a 9/16" x 3/8" triangular solid silver religious medallion, (that has come loose from the last ring). Coral encrustation & salt water stains by.
The Port Royal Museum where it was on display for many years. Joseph Becker who added it to his large collection of Port Royal artifacts, he was a formed Navy dived that had dove on the old port for many years & had found quite a few artifacts.
Artifacts from Port Royal are now considered to be quite rare & are never seen at antique shows anymore Port Royal Bay is now so polluted from the sewers of the nearby city that it is dangerous to swim or dive in the water! It comes with a certificate of authenticity & a Becker Collection letter.
