Rare Original Ww2 Imperial Japan 1942 War Industries Labor Merit Badge Medal

Rare original, Imperial Japanese Labor Merit Badge, the Golden Kite for War Industry Workers. Wear, tarnish and surface and edge knocks.

A tiny enamel bruise at 10 o'clock (visible under a loupe but you will probably miss it with the naked eye). This is a hobby not a living, so I try to keep it fun, otherwise why do it. This award was instituted on September 8, 1942, and awarded to those who displayed extraordinary labor integrity, excellence, sacrifice and merit in war production industries, including the workers who were injured or killed during Allied air raids on Japanese military plants and factories. The badge was designed by Hinago Jitsuzou, and was in the shape of an enameled four petal Tomoe, with a central medallion in the shape of a cogwheel, with a figure of a deity holding a bag. The reverse reads, "Labor Merit Badge".
