Sister Mary Coupar was born about 1885, possibly in Stirlingshire, Scotland. A qualified nurse pre-Great War, she enlisted into the Territorial Army Nursing Service on 12/3/1909 and was called up for service on 12/8/1914.
She was deployed to Salonika on 1/7/1916 and marched into the No. 38 General Hospital on 23/9/1916.
Obviously, she was a very good nurse, she was awarded the Royal Red Cross 2nd Class and a Mention in Dispatches for her services during the Great War. She remained in the T.
